The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Is there anyone who’s in contact with an admin? I’ve put classifieds and a post in the help section to find out why my post haven’t been verified. There just sat in limbo non visible to the public and they have been for hours now.

Can an admin or mod please get in contact with me, my posts and messages are being reported or flagged as spam. Ive been unable to message a admin and I can’t get my classified posts to get approved and I don’t get what I’ve done wrong.

Not really the place to post this. There’s a website issue section. Anyway, are you using a VPN? That can cause issues

@Tackle in case the post gets buried

If you used a VPN when you signed up that’ll probably be the problem. The site has had a few people having the same issue as yourself. Tackle should be able to advise you on fixing it

There are chronos at the site. It's up to you to self test.

I'm curious what the terms are of the PLI policy with regard to weapons being within site limits. Trusting the word of a few hundred players sounds like more of a risk than having site staff personally verify a weapon was tested at the limits
i think the questioning would be like this ,
''how did you guarantee that all RIFs are within limits for your site?''
'' the players self regulate ''
'' so you have no guarantee that all RIFs are safe to use on site?''
''no''

My old (pre COVID) regular site didn't chrono every game day but there was one available. However numbers were relatively low and was able to run more like a club where everyone knew eachother so could be trusted not to be a dick. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable relying on that trust when players don't know one another though, especially with so many people playing

That is something of a false argument. It is impossible to guarantee that all RIFs are safe to use on site; in a world of genuine quick change springs, different power gases and non-tournament locked HPA weapons, a site cannot guarantee that all RIFs are safe to use on site as a player who is going to cheat can easily change the power. It is also possible to cheat by adjusting the hop before chronoing or by lying about BB weight.

The morning chrono is a ritual.

All sites should carry out frequent random spot checks on RIFs before, during or after each game. AP do this and even weigh the BBs. The penalty for running a hot gun should be a permanent site ban.

I don't know if it still exists but, when I was marshalling, there was a private FB page for site owners and head marshals where information on such players and those guilty of other heinous crimes was shared. Several players in our vicinity suddenly found their bookings at all local sites being rejected.

While that is absolutely true, there's due dilligence and there's "good enough" trusting people to use guns within the site and legal limits.

We all know what trusting people leads to.
