E&C recoil

yes, currently a few of us are doing reliability tests. it's not without problems. our hope is that e&c listen and improve the product.

Having seen your's and Luke's videos, I doubt that I will be getting one until they have made some changes, including redesigning the magwell to work with a wider range of midcaps and improving the durability of some of the internal components.

They look rather good, but to only fit hi-cap mags seems odd. I wonder if it would be a simple mod to ensure that most mid-caps fit.

Looks like the gearbox is a copy or made by LDT which made a gearbox for gel blasters. Check youtube for videos on the LDT ATM gearbox. The only changes I can see is the change to the mag detection and probably a slightly different BB feed. I like the look of it as an idea and I've ordered one. I'd be interested to see if it can be swapped into other AEG shells to make more models that currently aren't for sale. I have E&C MCX and it would be good to have this engine inside that shell.

The spring housing on top of a midcap is longer than on a high cap; the extra length seems to be the problem. The APS UAR V1 and V2 had the same issue, which could be solved by minor surgery in the magwell. It looks like the mag detection buttons might prevent this being the case for the E&C.

However, it seems that CYMA midcaps work in the E&C.

Not looking good so far, though Luke and ak2m4 are working on it and potentially sourcing some CNC parts for it. Luke does say its cheap as chips though, wonder how cheap? No doubt it’ll be a lot more but wonder what the new KWA system will be like when we see it, hopefully in a few months.

I understand Negatives point as he has to make money so for him it's not the best AEG as it works out the box and doesn't allow much room for the current trend of "boy racering" every new AEG with brushless this and fancy reinforced that. I've seen nothing on AK2M4's, Negatives or anyone else's video reviews that shows it doesn't fire BB's out the end without being tinkered with.
It fires around 1J and the trigger response is as fast as a GBB. The only thing worth tinkering with would be the hop up and hop rubber for consistency and accuracy and possibly the main spring to get it as close to the limits of your local site. For the hop rubber it looks like it will take most GBB rubbers and nubs and if you want to go crazy I'd imagine it could be S-hopped without too much trouble so you can sling .48's at 1J. The spring seems the difficult part if it isn't a common sniper rifle spring size however it won't be too long before aftermarket springs appear if the AEG sells well. Inner barrels should be a breeze if you need more accuracy at 50 meters however moving forward 5 meters might save you a few bob.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
