Eshooter EMBER G100 USB-C T-Plug Rechargeable CNC Integrated 11.1v Li-Po Battery

Gonna have to be "that guy" on this, but i have serious doubts on how robust the charging circuit can be crammed into that tiny a space.

The vaping world sure as hell hasnt managed it
 
The base idea is great, like it, would be a very nice quality of life improvement.
But yeah would like to see a lot of testing etc.
 
I'm going to point out there have been vapemods using the exact, literal same principle for near on a decade, sometimes even smaller than that dimensionally. i wouldn't even be surprised if it is literally a DNA power regulation circuit, as those could quite literally be as small as a postage stamp 10 years ago.

Yeah and i wouldnt trust any of those for long term use.

2 years max before they fry themselves
 
To me it looks like a nice concept but I won't be an early adopter until we see the execution in practice.

I would like to know how hot the aluminium casing can become (will you need gloves to handle it at their worst). If the temperature isn't too warm for gloveless handling, that's been a smart use of metal to dissipate the heat but being so rigid, it doesn't give much room if the LiPo cells expand and I don't imagine you'll be able to see the early stages of the cells swelling so you won't get much visible warning to stop using those batteries and replace them.

Not having a balance sounds like a great way to shorten the battery's charging capacity and risk overheating, especially with 3 separate cells.

I'd be more concerned if they didn't feel hot to the touch as I'd be worried that the heat is being trapped inside rather than dissipate onto the surrounding air knackering the battery.

You're right that not being able to see any swelling is a problem. As I understand it puffed up batteries are likely to go bang. Now put that battery in a thin metal box not designed to hold pressure and what you have is a frag grenade which is being held very close to your face with no idea if or when it'll go off
 
The lack of balance charging, the unknown nature of the charging circuit, the apparent inability to take it down to storage voltage, and the solid case make it a no from me, except possibly as an emergency backup battery that I could charge from a power bank.

However, in many years of playing, I have only had to charge a battery at a game day once.

make it maybe... £15-20 to match the pricing of a lipo of that size and they might get people biting
I'd expect to need a couple with that capacity, so that's already a turn off for me

at least with Titan batteries getting grief for being £35 batteries, they had the capacity of a more than an all-dayer...
 
It looks like a solution to a problem which didn't exist but created several more

I can see the theory from the boardroom meeting that non-tech savvy people would say "can't i just charge my gat via usb like literally every other electronic gadget i use" is a fair enough point. how many threads have we all had to remind people not to splurge all their cash on a first gun when they need to invest in a decent balance charger and accompanying batteries?

I'm not as concerned about the hard case, was very common in the rc world back in the day (for all i know still is, haven't checked recently), protecting the cell from external damage is fair enough. plus if we wanna talk grenades it's not like nimh/nicad (and i assume18650 based packs) can't be spicy when they pop. tbh if you've got a short in your gun it's gonna be a bad time no matter what you've plugged into it.

wether or not 1000mah is enough will be ymmv, used to run 1100's and 800's and the former would often not need changing mid game-day, but then i wasn't using a dsg to do my best impression of the predator forest scene.

as i've said, my main concern is how effective and long lived the charging circuit can be.
