Piggyback vs offset

Just picked up an lpvo, what sre peoples thoughts on a piggyback red dot vs offset? I understand hop will be a factor but im not sure id be using the red dot at a distance where itll be affected by hop. Thoughts?

I tried using a 45° offset mount and couldn't get on with it. Now i only run them above scopes on a forward mount, i find it much better and more comfortable, and quicker/easier to raise and get the dot on target.

Piggyback as I find it quicker to move my head up or down between the sights than rotating the whole gun round
