As the title suggests just thing to see if anyone has had hands on experience with both and there's a clear winner ? I have the golden eagle but don't know if it's worth upgrading to the tm breacher or not.

Short answer- golden eagle.

Long answer- golden eagle didn't quite clone the TM, they made some improvements.

A friend has a literal pile of dead TM m870 shotguns, with a KSG that has never worked for more than 2 shells acting as the glace cherry on this pile of steaming shite, each with different leaks or breakages, and a golden eagle that just keeps working.

This is not someone that doesn't know what they're doing either.

Going to go the opposite all my TM gas shotguns ran like a dream (I used 144a gas). the Golden Eagles leaked and jammed. however the price difference it mean it worth it to put up with the Golden Eagles failings.

I didn't mean to reply to this but can't delete it.
I mean, it's hard to argue with that but maybe it shows that the Op is best sticking with something that's currently working rather than rolling the Airsoft QC dice™.

Hey buddy thank you so much for you're reply and advice. Yeah il stick with what I have the gas tank in the grip of my golden eagle failed so had to get a new grip but was only £15 so cheap fix. I would like to see if I can find the buffer tube stock conversion kit for it for cqb but there sold out everywhere typically lol.

Yeah fair enough I did have to replace the grip tank in my GE but was only £15 so cheap fix. So I guess il stick with what I have instead of spending out loads to get a breacher.

Its the sensible thing to do. the Golden Eagle won't nickel and dime you enough where it would have worked out cheaper o get a TM.

Yeah which is weird as sensible is not my go to move haha 🤣 does seem the the TM parts are allot more expensive but more regularly available. Just trying to find a stock conversion kit for it.

I've never owned a TM Breacher but I do have the GE sawn off. and I'm overall very happy with it.as I've only had minor problems which were easily sorted with some ptfe tape.

How big is the gas tank on your shotgun? If like mine it's small then you could consider HPA as you only need to swap out the fill valve. I converted mine and got a small improvement in performance but the biggest thing was not having to constantly think if I need to top up the gas.

What weight ammo are you using? One thing I've noticed is that heavier rounds give better range but lighter ones give greater spread. If possible have a play around with different weights to see what works best (just watch out for joule creep).

Yeah I have the GE version of the breacher. I do like it but didn't know if the TM was better but from what people are saying it's not worth the upgrade.
The gas tank is pretty small, as it's only in the hand grip I'm trying to find the buffer tube conversion for it, as that has a bigger tank. I would like to hpa it. I do have the stuff to be able to but don't have anywhere near me that does hpa filling none of the sites near me and no shops near me all over an hour of not more away. I did get one of those hand pumps but gave up on that after 20mins and the needle barley moved if at all lol.
I mostly use .20 or .25 as have allot of them I'm trying to use up. But il stick to mostly .25 I think.

I know how you feel. My hpa stuff sat in a box for a year as I couldn't get the bottle filled.

Alternatives would be use either of these
CO2 adapter

Green gas

Thanks buddy I really appreciate it il have to get those 🤟it's definitely annoying not being able to get the bottle filled up.

Out of the two I'd probably go for the CO2 adapter as having a regulator gives more control over muzzle energy. This will run dry quicker than a gas can though.

Edit: re the hpa valve in the grip, I found if I screwed it in all the way the grip got in the way of fitting the airline. I wrapped the threads in several layers of ptfe tape which stops the valve screwing in too far but also keeps it sealed.

Ah nice yeah and for that price it's worth a try. Il probably have to save up and buy a compressor or something.
Amazing thanks for the advice mate.
