E&C recoil

ran mine again today and worked really well. running 0.25 tracers and with the modified quantum I'm getting 50+ meters. Overall I'm a big fan and I'll probably pick up another once they get into UK stores.
Glad it's working well!

After my initial issues, I managed to get it working and it's been fun so far. Hoping it holds out!

Also looking to get another, I have the URGI 13.5 inch model and whilst I like it I want to get something smaller too.

Hopefully they start selling uppers separately if they decide to stick with the design

Which Hong Kong store are people ordering from?

@Thokarn thanks, I'm hopefully speaking with E&C this week so will find out a little more regarding the issues some of us have had and report back here. Ma

I used Redwolf Airsoft - had them on sale quite cheap - now out of stock

Im gonna do my usual of wait a year for them to be second hand and have a bit more reliablity data behind them. I do love the idea though and It will be interesting to see what price they show up in the uk at from shops.

So update:

My gun has started developing issues again.

As mentioned before I had an issue with one of the hall sensors on the right hand side of the rifle, that will only activate if I have anything magnetic close to it. My ghetto fix was to magnetise the bolt carrier and that somehow temporarily fixed it. This same issue has cropped up again after setting it fault calibration mode on the ETU, trying out all the different modes.

Opening up the gearbox I can see that the sector gear has a magnet, which should in theory activate this sensor allowing it to operate after a full cycle once the sector gear has stopped in the correct position.

I think somehow my magnet is weak or not as strong as it should be and is affecting the consistency of the hall sensor.

I plan to seperate the sector gear and replace the magnet.

In other news - looks like support for the system is picking up traction - other brands are releasing parts for the system such as this charging handle

Oh and for those of you who plan to get the URGI version, the handguard is a mission and a half to get off.

18airsoft have a bunch of spare parts available for the E-bolt system at pretty cheap prices.

18airsoft have a restock of these plus a few new models, CBQR Block 1 and 3 different URGI length. They are also selling complete gearboxes and lower gearbox shells.

I've ordered one, let's see what flavour of scented candle i receive instead.

What gave you issues? I bought a URG-I and swapped the handguard. Was a good fit on the barrel nut but came off fine.

Managed to get it off, it was just on very very snug and required multiple hits with a rubber mallet to get off...

Also I've seen the URGI versions now stocked at Surplusstore UK as well as some other UK stores online

Mine was a precise fit but came off by hand. Luckily the barrel nut is also the same diameter for the 5KU handguard i fitted, as these don't have a standard barrel nut thread.

Mine is* a 9.5" URG-I, bought from Surplus Store on Saturday. 👌🏻

*Was, i cut the barrel down to match the new handguard.

Sweet!

How are you finding it?

I know that's have had a rough start but it's genuinely easy to take a part and repair once you take it down. And it's easy enough to get parts from the far east (18airsoft, m416gelblaster) so you're never really without spares.

If you're looking for midcaps, Nuprol stanags, Cyma stanags and Battleaxe stanags work. Well any work as long as the rear tab near the Feed hole is small.

Barely used it yet, aside from messing with it. I bought 4 E&C midcaps with it.

Mine locks back when it's not empty though, after maybe 30-40 rounds on the midcaps. You had anything like this? I've not looked into how the stop on empty/bolt hold works yet.

I know that it locks back even when you're near empty (like 12 bbs left from a 140 round midcap?), but that's due to the decreased spring tension not being able to push bbs into the feed channel, which pushes against the bolt stop lever.

What capacity mags are you using?
