This. While the grenades being discussed here have been tested the same can't be said for others. Players going to A&E to get shards of plastic pulled out of their arse cheeks is going to cause the site problem with their insurance
 
It's probably already happened, there's always that "one guy" that has to fafo, & who subsequently sets a precedent that screws it up for the rest of us, probably two decades before 3d printers were a thing you had eedjits that liked to turn up to sites with homemade pyro, & you know they didn't set out to make it sound like a wet fart, their mindset would have been "go big or go home".

Firstly I apologise if I’ve digressed from the thread, this was not my intention but I did ask the question out of interest, first is they may not be CE approved hence not covered by the liability insurance & secondly, the concern is (and is what I assumed) the plastic may become brittle over time and bits could fly everywhere.
No doubt this is a CQB issue at this location so hopefully other sites will allow them.
If nothing else they will be cool decorations 😊

If Mods believe I’ve added nothing to the intended thread or digressed too far I have no issues if they wish to delete my comments.

I have ordered 4 of these and have no issues with my purchase, this is just one site so, many more may allow them.

Absolutely not mate its definitely a topic that needs to be brought up especially with almost any Tom, Dick and Harry buying 3D Printers and printing articulated rainbow dragons and selling them on Etsy, the last thing we need is people with no real knowledge in 3D printing just making impact grenades.

I completely agree with your sites ruling as its their insurance at the end of the day and its their business they have to look out for, some sites are different, mine allows them some wont

but I have to bring up what Tackle mentioned, The original design stated to use 35% infill and 5 walls for the bodies but when I extensively tested them I found them to not withstand the forces i was applying to them, and I was throwing them hard because i knew the UK Airsoft community would throw them hard too, if I was going to put my name and my teams name against a product it cant be shit which is why i am printing every single component at 100% Infill, this means it takes 14 hours just to make 5x heads, spoons, bases and hammers and it takes a further 13.5 hours to print 4 bodies

I have been 3D printing since around 2013 when i bought my first two RepRap Mono Mendals (and I still have them) and since then I have gone on to buy around 20+ printers leading me up to having a small farm where I am, i have put probably a hundred thousands hours into 3D printing since then, designing and making things in all different aspects of hobbies and work

but either way, id be more than happy to send your site owner a free one to test and if he doesn't like them there's no harm, id rather he see a decent well made product then assume its a lightweight crap print that's going to shatter and take peoples eyes out because it wont, this things is like a brick!
