Wolverine MTW XM177 Fossil Collection: Dig 2 Numbered #75/200

Hello, I have come into the possession of a Wolverine MTW XM177D2 #75/200 im thinking of reselling this and buying another of my favorites but am unsure of what would be the most appropriate price to ask for as I would only assume that this would increase in value over the coming months/Years.

The MTW is in pristine condition with all of its Authenticity paperwork and unopened documents so I presume that this is better to keep and resell rather than use.

FYI these is also full Carbon fiber HPA Tank, Regulator, lines, ETC.

What do you all think is an appropriate asking price for this?

On what basis do you make that assumption? Being from a limited run of 200 units isn't a guarantee they'll appreciate in value significantly.

The fact that these are still available at retail would dictate the standard ~70% of the lowest retail price rule of thumb applies. You're presumably a private seller and not paying VAT on the sale so 20% of the resale price goes right away. Without a warranty, that percentage drops further.

Thanks for the responce got some useful information from it!

I made the assumption from my experiance within the automotive indestry that Limited-Run vehicles generally about 60%-80% increase in value, however, I understand that these arent cars haha. Therfore an approximate ~70% market value is appropriate as I have a transferable 12-Month Full warranty, given buy the company that I recieved this from (gift from a client). (Private seller so yes no 20% VAT I would also presume)

Yes, drawing parallels to the automotive industry is massively flawed. Limited run luxury vehicles are often purchased with the intention of flipping them automotive and airsoft industries are worlds apart in terms of reselling.

There are collectors but I see most HPA users buying the Wolverine MTWs with the intention of buying to play rather than with the hope of them appreciating in value so they can be flipped.

The XM177 as an airsoft replica isn't exclusive to Wolverine. Unlike a Ferrari or Lamborghini limited edition with fewer than 500 or however many units made and those manufacturers will make those cars exclusively and not sell licensing rights to a third party, the XM177 is made by other manufacturers, some under licence and some without a licensing agreement but they're renamed, where you'll find them for under £200 in the right places and they can be converted to run HPA. There are also gas blowback versions of XM177 and not only are they less much expensive than Wolverine's MTW, they are arguably more realistic.
