Evening all

More of a what do you guys think thread.

I have a few suppressor options, but I can't decide between looks and a little bit of functionality. Note: I don't have the adaptor yet as they are very elusive right now. They are just inserted over the flash hider to gauge the looks.

Looks: Ace 1 Arms FDE Osprey 7inch

Looks very cool, might be a bit long. Hollow, and due to the design it's not possible to put baffles in (there's a tube from the front plate which connects to the threads).

Function: Sniper Mechanic HEXX

Still looks cool but not as unique as the osprey. I would obviously buy an FDE one or camo tape this one to match the camo. The Hexx will suppress slightly. The Hexx is noticeably heavier.

I have yet to field the MP7 as I just got it yesterday, but as I had these laying about wanted to see what everyone else thinks would be better. (Planning to sell the Osprey if I don't like it)

Or perhaps no suppressor at all?

The obvious answer is buy more mp7’s for each suppressor, duh

But, being an “OEM” stickler, the best MP7 suppressor is naturally the MP7 suppressor (failing that, the second one looks better imo)

My personal opinion both of them look terrible especially the top one 😂

I went for a surefire sup on mine or the actual mp7 one would look good

As a recent Mp7 “daddy” I’m toying with getting a “Sup” for mine too
Though historically, I’ve never really had a great experience with them
I either get tired of the additional front end weight, or have experienced muzzle strike with them eventually.

But to answer your Q, the Osprey just doesn’t seem to sit right
The other one is a bit better, but I think I will get an oem one for the look for mine.

Ngl after looking at it more i do prefer the look of the Hexx i have a short one for my mk23 and it looks much nicer than the one I use for my TAC41

I have also considered one of the QD mp7 silencers.

Thanks all think ill sell on the ace 1 arms osprey, its too massive on a pistol lol

Oh right.

I wouldn't use those sling loops in that case.
I am not planning to use it. I have a RIS Sling point adaptor on the way; one of the Laylax ones. The paracord loops on there are from the previous owner.

I generally use a paracord-ended sling on my guns like the Frank Proctor ones and wrap it around the whole gun somewhere.

I heard those loops are weak; are they really that weak then? Doesn't seem like something TM would allow to pass their QA

This design is like 15 years old dude.

TM doesn't update things. They're a budget toy gun brand in Japan that makes decent replicas out of cheap materials with clever design choices to mitigate the downsides.

The MP7 is made of brittle ABS so it can crack or break pretty easily. More modern TMs use much better polymers, especially the P320 and Glock 17.5.

Oh I thought this was one of the better MP7s that isnt the VFC. Hope I havent made a mistake 😂 this was my first GBBR, Most of my knowledge is around AEG lol

They're fine, there's aftermarket parts to replace the bits that are prone to breaking. Same as the VFC, their backplate also cracks. Just don't be too rough with it and you should be fine (No throwing it at rentals)

I have done a bit of research and it seems the sling adaptor is have ordered is one of the recommended things to use to help prevent it. Theres also a place that makes a steel replacement interior shell for it if it does break, granted its an expensive replacement but its nice knowing its there if needed. Ill just see how it goes and fix it if it comes up.
