Had an idea of seeing if a sport 4/b33 combo would fit my RPK and to my surprise it does, perfectly! Well... Minus the gas block which the lower rail section needs cutting out for. Pics to follow no doubt ?

Had the chance to compare a real L85 against the WE on the weekend, really neat to see all the little differences in fit and feel and record a bit of video of it too

The real one in theory, by 200 grams. However, all the we weight is in the back end so it handles terribly compared to the real one and feels much much heavier

Thank you but sadly not, proprietary motor cage slightly out spec to a standard V3. Tried 3 different LCT cages and also their slim grip and they go on but the screw that holds the wooden stock on doesn't line up.

Just ordered a replacement from WGC. Seems to be common from what I've seen ?

Getting real fucking demoralised with AEGs and (external) parts and shit. Nothing fits together, it's all garbage, they always break. "TM standard" bollocks. Really miserable day. Just tempted to chuck it all in the bin and eat the loss.

@RogerborgM4 Receiver. Swapping out an old G&P one which has given nothing but trouble. Unfortunately the new E&C one (being the only brand that appears to have availability?) is now giving me different problems. I'll persevere. I just needed to moan and leave it for a few days.

I bought a dremel (milwaukee) and it has been the biggest help in fitting things together. But ye, each brand have their own tolerances and it's never plug and play.

Fitted a 4uad hop rubber and Unicorn 210mm barrel to my MWS. Once the hop was dialled in and ~100 BBs put through it to set the NPAS (open a little more!) and I have it running 0.95 - 0.98j on 0.28g and 0.98 - 1.01j on 0.32g

Slightly shorter barrel reduces joule creep, even more than the stock 250mm TM or the 250mm Crazy Jet.

Accuracy from some bench rest shots at 10m seems good, will do a proper vice test tomorrow. Given that it is still 28deg in the shed I might rechrono once it isn’t as hot as satans armpit!

I've done 7 large orders from Taiwan & HK in the past 6 months, if the value exceeds £135 just assume you'll get taxed, as i've been done with tax on every single order. There is no flying under the radar any more.

The issue with KYAirsoft is that their website will outright lie to you if it's in stock or not.  

If it is in stock, you're going to be fine, however if it isn't.  You're going to have issues with chasing them up for months.  

I ordered a Desert eagle slide from them in November 2023, which then eventually shipped in February 2024.  There have been horror stories on the airsoft subreddit where someone had to wait almost a year  for a part they ordered.  If you are going to order from them, i would strongly advise that you email them in advance, asking if it's in stock or not.

Also if you check their T&C's they state they won't do refunds/cancellations after 2 weeks of purchase.... so that's always fun.

Seeing as I've been waiting on a WE Desert Eagle nozzle off them for around 4 months at this point with plenty of umming-and-arring I'd suggest just going to somewhere else if they've got what you're after in stock. I've had good experiences with WGC and 18airsoft personally, but milage may vary, obviously.

Managed to acquire a 3d print file to make L7AWM shells for the WE Scar H...its now 5 hours into the print and some of the supports just collapsed. RIP 150g of plastic probably. ?

Anyone else had FPS issues with GM MWS mags? 282fps….88fps…282fps…87fps….and on and on. Sometimes it would be 3-4 full power shots then a weak dribble. G&P and TM mags were fine.

Mag #4 had a sticky / stiff release valve, a quick spray of GT85 and some silicone grease and moving much better. Took the play out the knocker valve and it is much more consistent.

For £70 mags they are pretty shoddy and a PITA to load.

You don't actually need to use their stupid open the shell loading system, you can just load them like any other GBB mag.

Yeah, I lock the follower down, slide mag back together and fill with speed loader…still more difficult than needed due to the feedlips

When attempting to build your M14, ensure you have actually inserted the piston and not wait until you have it fully rebuilt to realise....D'oh!!

Once forgot to bolt the piston head to the piston and was headscratching why the fps was fine for 5 shots then completely dived off a cliff.
