Im sorry if this has been asked before but im curious as to why people buy M4's and the variants and why are they so popular within the community?

So they are more practical, makes sense if you run dry in the field and can use a buddy's mag for a bit.easy to repair, easy to use, most people have mag pouches that fit the STANAG mags, compatability with your mates mags if you run out, and some people genuinely like M4's
Fixedand some weird people genuinely like M4's
I've heard you say this before but couldn't be further from the truth where I play at combat south there are a fair few g36c's but that is mostly because alot of the cheaper makes do good solid ones but among the more established players everyone and there brother seems to have m4's last time I went apart from the rentals I only saw one ak.Recently I'd say the phenomenom of "Armalite Land" has been dying out.
As other designs of firearm are becoming easier (and cheaper) to make in airsoft form, I've seen the armalite start to die out - I've seen far more AKs, G36Cs and Steyr AUGs than M4/M16s in skirmishes.
It must be the 'North-South divide'I don't mean it to sound like suggesting you are wrong just saying in this neck of the woods atleast m4/16's are massively popular.
Dave...can i drive over your M4/16 in a 4x4 and see if it is that easy to fix? :lol:easy to repair,
