Hi guys,

I am working on a new piece of software which I hope to make big like a few other of my projects,

I am doing this for the airsoft community and I would like to offer exclusive features to AFUK for being so good to me and their new members :D

What it is is something that allows you to manage and save different kit loadouts for your airsoft games and tournaments,

You will be able to graphically edit parts on a stereotypical gun type, e.g. Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun etc...

Also I am going to try and program a gear loadout manager so you can customize what your wearing,

This program will allow you to generate lists and images of your loadouts which can be shared with friends and communities ,

So what stuff do you take airsofting and what would you stereoype your gun as?

Also I may call on you guys to help me get pictures of certain guns.... Credits in the program will be offered in exchange :)

So you want us to describe what gear we take airsofting?

I'm pretty light on the gear.

The deep pockets on DPM trousers + jackets are normally enough to store my mags + spare batteries.

But i do have a drop-down mag holder for 3 X MP5 mags.

Stereotype my guns? SMG + DMR i guess

what are you coding this in by the way?
I'm tied between ease of production with visual basic or extensive features with a c based language like c# or c++. I will probably end up taking the easy option,

And thanks to everyone that has posted, Cam that was just what I was looking for :)

I was going to give you a hand mate if you were coding it in delphi. I think it would be easier as its object orientated and just a matter of matching the images with buttons and comboboxes. Good luck tho i cant wait to test it out.

Never really had any experience in delphi but I may learn :)

The thing is I made some programs in Visual Basic and they went reasonably big so I just carried on in VB ;)

Yea vb i think is also object orientated. I just prefer delphi as its more or less limitless. i wont kill the thread but if you need help with any procedures i may be able to help you.
