WE Katana Raptor with the red cylinder FPS

I've just brought WE Katana Raptor with the red cylinder.

The red cylinder fires at about 350fps without hop applied. We adjusted the hop slightly while I was in the shop until the fps started to drop, and it was chronoing between 330-340.

Now for any reason if hop needs to be adjusted and it chronos over 350fps can the spring inside the cylinder be cut to reduce fps?

Its the first time I've ever owned a gun with a quick change spring inside a cylinder.

If I remember correctly when you cut a spring such as an M100 it actually produces a higher velocity? I'm not totally sure on this because I'm not a physics major...

I'm not sure buddy. My last gun was hot, so I took it to the shop and they recommended cutting the spring and it was fine after. I guess what I'm really asking, does any body know if the cylinder is it a concealed unit, or can the spring inside it be changed?

The cylinder itself? It's probably a proprietary component as this quick switch feature is not present on any other AEG I know of.
