Two tone

In the uk does a black gun with an orange tip count as a two tone gun. If not what does count as two tone.

In the uk is it legal to paint a black Airsoft gun to be two tone, if so what colours are recommended

Not it doesn't. The two tone needs to cover 51% of the gun.

But to obtain it in the first place you'd need UKARA or a valid defence. That said, the reality is that lots of RIFs get sold second hand. Up to the seller and their approach to risk of being done for it.

Under the VCRA the colours are specified, and strictly speaking they aren’t two tone but >50% in one of the bright colours, or clear

Unless you are selling a RIF to someone without a defence under the VCRA then you don’t need to paint it (or the seller has a RIF and is painting it to become an IF to sell to you)

The VCRA doesn’t cover possession so if you have a RIF you don’t need to paint it
