Hey guys wanted know your lot thoughts . 8 inch Revolver shooting sub 450 fps co2. 6 rounds should it be allowed as a dmr rules in outdoor game play ?

Not really, no... It's a pistol. That's like locking a Kriss Vector to full auto and calling it an LMG 😐

I understand your point just a silly idea poped my mind . love revolvers but they not very skimrishable with the limited rounds and shooting speed . I appreciate your reply tho

This also odds of it shooting passed MED is low. All shell loaded airsoft guns have no range as they are a fundamentally flawed system based on how airsoft guns function.

No, for three reasons:

1. A pistol is not a DMR
2. The range of an airsoft revolver is unlikely to exceed the MED for a DMR
3. It breaks the golden rule of airsoft: DBAD

However, I would love to see someone try to argue the case at a hard core milsim.

point noted silly idea . what about multi bb loaded shells for cqb. should be some sort advantages of using a revolver?

Again no! A shotgun already does this better with a higher mag capacity. Shell loaded revolvers are cool and fun but as practical guns they are shit.

I mean you can do that for the bit so long as it's within power limits.

For what it's worth, I toyed with making a Metro 2033 inspired Revolver DMR thing myself because my tastes are defined by janky Ukrainian games, but there's no satisfactory way to make it accurate at range because revolver hop-ups are just bad.

That would depend on the site rules; if the site is semi only with no binary triggers allowed, that would probably be a no.

Why should there be some advantages of using a revolver? There was a reason why they were replaced by semi-automatic pistols in the real world. Did you buy a revolver and then find out that it is not very good? Playing with a not very good weapon and getting some kills is a positive experience in itself. I sometimes play an outdoor game with just a cheap little shotgun; the kills are very satisfying.

Tactically? No.

I have a H8R and would like a couple more revolvers in my collection. Not for any tactical advantage. They just look really cool to me.

The H8R was usually at a tactical disadvantage against most opponents guns but as Colin alluded to, I got some hugely satisfying kills with it.

Thanks guys for making me see sense. Just have to love revolver for what they are i guess, Hard kill . Really need stop watching Gun slinger movies lol

Hear me out.

Get a nice hop up system for it if it doesn't already have one, in this case make it better via a good rubber/tensioner.

Attach a stock and an optic.

Have fun with your new extremely silly DMR.

Doesn't work for shell revolvers sadly, because the BB starts in the shell and has to jump the cylinder gap to reach the hop.

So even in models that do have hops, it's already moving and spinning by the time the hop up adds some spin.

So they go all over the place.

These are both bad ideas for the reasons already posted.

The lower ammo capacity and slower follow up shots are just one of the things you have to get used to and adapt your playing style to suit if you want to use a wheel gun.

How often do you use a pistol in outdoor games? If not often then the lower shot count possibly won't be such an issue.

Of course if said revolver is doing over site limits you won't be able to use it at all

Does anyone make a 3d printed rifle stock kit that could make it some semblance of fit for purpose ?

Meh, didn't take that into account..

But it'd be really cool to run a silly revolver dmr :)
