You're right in that it looks like the same body, it could be that whoever had it installed a gas bolt

Just be aware when flying that some airlines will make your check them in separately in the outsize luggage section. Not a massive drama and usually at no cost but takes a few minutes extra.

It's the same system as this, but with a different stock:

Looks to be something like the Well MB05.
Possibly a transplanted gas bolt from the G21, unless well made a gas version as standard too.

Arrived today, Tanaka M700 AICS Pre-Ban, with factory silver barrel/receiver/bolt.

First impressions are its lovely! Needs a little clean up, some bolts are a tiny bit rusty, and it still has the factory grease on, which has solidified… but dammn it’s nice!

It does mean the Tanaka M700 Police above it needs to go, I can’t really justify having 2 Tanaka’s (I also have a AAC21 that I use for a silent gas sniper).
