An old school AK is my favourite but I only really have AK's because they are iconic & I have more than 1 because it's not a collection if there is just 1.

I agree that the AK looks best with the traditional wooden furniture but I'll always remember the way people on the red alliance forum (usually who weren't even a twinkle in the milkman's eye in when the USSR collapsed) would clutch their pearls if someone dared to post a picture of an AK with ris rails. Then the invasion of Crimea happened and the news was filled with pictures of Russian troops holding AKs with rails
