The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Cracking day on Saturday at Battle Lakes, really good fun. Quite a big crowd in, and the rolling storylined game play of the DEA Vs Cartel theme worked excellently. Marshall's/team leaders had a few side quests up their sleeves to send teams off on in order to keep the play fluid and interesting.

Great hit taking, and sportsmanship all round, and as ever at battle lakes, the slightly more storylined and lengthy games, and huge site lent themselves to impromptu cooperation for patrols etc with random team mates, which always adds a nice social dimension.

Only negative of my creation was that I managed to snap a cleaning rod in the Kar 98 jamming it up before Chrono, but the XM177 and Specna Ak74 both performed superbly and had the range to get some great hits across the expansive site.

So my day yesterday went great.

Myself and a friend turned up a whole month early to an event we’d booked onto. Quite keen to at least try out our new builds we had put together for the day we retired to a garden to “fine tune” a bit.

The ensuing results were a burned out ETU & what appears to be a piston welded to a spring guide in one gun, we’ll find out when we dare open it, and the complete divorce of piston and 3/4 of its rack…..as seen below.

All in all we agreed we’ve still had worse days where we’ve actually managed to play.

Went to quite few feet under ground in darkness where I first started playing airsoft, tried out my new TM Saiga SBS and put it this way it was interesting as it was a lot more different to AEG or HPA, Loved it. Had loads guys running NVGs and thermals which kinda ruined the fun. As I feel like they are items you use more in Milsims than a Sunday skirmish 🤣 all in all it's just too OP, same as when I run LMG with Thermal at night 🤣 but other than that great fun!
