I got my 5KU grip for my BDS9 from 18airsoft, which came within just over a week, one of my normal daily browses if I'm bored lol .... then i add stuff to the basket... then the cycle repeats lol

My first ever attempt at 'building' a hi capa...
Was meant to be based in my TM gold match, but all that remains of that in this build now is the disconnector, knocker blocker and inner barrel
I'm waiting on more parts now it's together (including the above three) but just wanted to see it built before committing to colours of each component, but have to say I'm pretty pleased so far. Apart from the mag release, which I forgot to order a replacement for.
And yes, it works
But now I also have most of a gold match..... So rude not to build something else, eh

I never knew this and I’ve bought a hell of lot from them
What about HPA how do they compare price wise ?
I’ve always used UK retailers but if this is true I’m gonna have to reconsider

HPA are usually (At least for their RIFs) £50 - £100 more than it would be to import. For example, the GHK AUG is just shy of £100 more than it would be to import from one ProAction

It'll be marmite for many, but it's almost exactly what I wanted, so I'm chuffed.
Seems my Mrs now fancies a blingy 4.3 in silver and purple though, so this may have backfired

Sadly I find it difficult to try and support local when things I've been looking for are either out of stock almost permanently, or in stock but marked up by around 200%
I get overheads, physical premises and taxes etc, but I also have those to consider so need to take volume savings where I can.
Even shipping costs are very reasonable. I just ordered the remaining bits I need from 18airsoft last night and postage was only £10. UK retailers are asking £5/6 and up for royal mail. And it takes just as long

The shipment I had last week cost £16 and was higher value/greater weight, so presumably both could be/are factored in. Was just illustrating how feasible it actually is.
And no customs fees so far......

While I try to buy from the UK if possible but some shops really take the piss, especially when it comes to postage costs and time. For example the last few orders I made at Patrolbase didn't ship for at least 3 days and arrived after the stuff I bought from China

I've basically stopped looking at UK retailers, every time i want a small part its often 2-3x cheaper to just import it and pay the obscene shipping cost. I get it, they've got to run premises etc, but the big names really do take the piss, especially the ones operating at considerable volume (ie ones who also operate distribution)

Evike EU is a massive no-go for me
150 euros to ship a tiny set of sights is diabolical, I am of the mind they do this to discourage small orders
