This horse isn't dead yet.I'm also short sighted in on eye and long sighted in the other, I've tried contacts and they gave me head aches so I went back to wearing glasses, still looking into my options.
I'm going to my local qcb site again soon there are a few ppl the who wear glasses so gonna ask them but my local airsoft shop have a great set of goggles for 30 quid and they said they should be Ok so gonna go down tomos and check them out, while I'm there might as well do a bit of shopping lolThis horse isn't dead yet.
Have you tried wearing the lens in just one eye?
True but then those "bog standard" ones on ebay often aren't worth the money.
I realise that a lot of new airsofters are young and not earning but safety and protection are the things you really shouldn't scrimp on and $60 is NOT a huge price to pay for eye and face protection. You don't need to go to the lengths of a Devtac Ronin mask but you should at least have enough respect for yourself to want to spend more than a tenner on protecting yourself. Equally, as much as you can airsoft on a budget, generally it's NOT a cheap hobby. If you start off questioning spending £40 on a piece of essential kit then the cost escalation once you get into it will scare the bejesus out of you!
I got my Vice Rx insert from eBay for £15 and he glazed them for £35. Lovely chap.Tactical Optician does prescription inserts for the popular makes of shooting glasses. I have a set for my ISS. His website is shite but you can talk to him easily on facebook and his stuff is reasonably priced, my set cost around £60 for inserts and bridge piece for the glasses.
