shortening barrel on CYMA cm.050 "AKMS" (AIMS)

really love the look of this, but darn it's long!! thinking I would shorten the barrel (and maybe the faux gasblock?).

How should I approach this and what would I need to purchase?

also might as well ask at the same time, anyone got an idea however the top handguard from a cm.050a would fit, that would be/look epic.. I would have guessed that it would, but it does not appear to have the spring in between it and the receiver that the cm.050 have..

Shortening that would look weird. If the standard AK is too long for you, look for an AK Beta.

but yea, I am a bit concerned about that as well.. but not that bothered what others think of my gun (I love the amd 65 for example).. looking for a place that stocks the cm.045a (aks74u), of course, would have to make a vertical grip and tons of external mods before happy with that!

oh and no offence meant with "beta my foot", it just sounded like a cool thing to say!

Google "AK gas tube rail" for the lower picture! It just clamps on.

Easy job assuming it strips like a TM

You'll need a pipe cutter (or hacksaw and file)

Maybe a drill bit

And that's about it
