Anyone been experience delays at customs? Idk if I get lucky but my items usually get through (small parts) in a few hours to a day, currently on day 3.

Am I being impatient or is anyone else experiencing this, thanks!!
 
That’s pretty standard, even though it’s only a day you’d be surprised how much a bank holiday can cause pile ups. Start worrying when it gets to a week or two
 
Yeah, I've got the same with some parcels that I'm expecting from Europe. One arrived here on Friday last week, but since then we've only had 1 working day, so it makes sense that I haven't heard yet. As @Austeyr says, start chasing it up after a week or two

And my parcel from the Netherlands was released by customs today. Just give it a few days and I'm sure yours will get through too
 
basically their way of saying we are going to check if you are allowed to import a RIF. RIF has been seized and I'm just going through the process of trying to unfreeze it. They have told me it would be easier if I had a UKARA number, I've told them I don't need one as I have a defense to the UCRA with local site membership who hold public liability insurance. I've sent them evidence to that and now waiting on their reply. It's dragging on as every time I reply to them I get an automated email saying "we are busy and will try to answer in 20 days but maybe not as we are busy".

Also yeah I wouldn't import RIFs without UKARA tbh. You absolutely can without one, but as demonstrated it's far easier with one.
