PS3 Controller issue...

Now then folks, very rare I actually play my PS3 for long enough to wear down the battery in the controller, but whenever I do, and it gets to about half-an-hour-before-flashing levels of battery deadness, the R2 button becomes like, crazy sensitive, sometimes so much so that its own weight is enough to trigger it...

Anyone else have this issue or know whether my controller is just a failtroller...

I think it's probably the latter. Either that or it's something to do with the game making that particular button especially sensitive. Does it happen regardless of what you play?

The only issue I ever remember having with my PS3 was if you left it for weeks on end, when I came to use it again the analogue sticks would have a sort of weird oily texture to them...

Doesn't matter what I play and it only happens when my controller is about forty five minutes from battery-deadness :/

I found that too, I think it's just tears of neglect!

Probably on its last legs if its an old PS3. Although i have a controller from the 2nd generation PS3s and its going good still.
