New Patches and Branding Poll

We're going to be launching the new official patch some time in the next couple of months. I'd like to hear your input on the design (specifically the colours and width, but any critique is fine).

Poll is attached.

We're getting two patches - a compact one for chest rigs and to wear on arms and a wide-format patch for going on bags and the like. Both will come in a variety of colours, but the original blue may come with just grey in the flag or can be full colour (i.e. with the red also). That's what I'd like to hear opinions on.

They'll be bordered in an appropriate colour when they're made into patches. Likely just black for all of them.

As for voting on the colours themselves: This is just to gauge interest for quantities, but suggestions are welcome.

Na, I failed. I just edited it as you were replying I think.

Edit:

Just noticed the kerning in the compact logo is really bad. Will be changed for the final version to have a gap between the A and the F - had to change fonts to one I could get a commercial license for and didn't notice.

For anyone wondering. Here's the AFUK rifleman. Been flipped on the new one because - as Jedi spotted - he's firing left handed. Also it meant he could be shooting the BB through the text, which was nice.

I've omitted two large bits of information:

First: These're to be contoured PVC

Second: Velcro hook backing

Unlikely to be stitch holes included with them.

Still considering an embroidered, harder-wearing one as well.

I think an embroidered version of the longer larger one and pvc of the smaller one with the full logo would be a good way to go.

Considering an harder-weaing embroidered version too, but likely just PVC for now.

The following colours and sizes will be made available (if all goes well):

Wide format patch

• ~105mm wide (total width including border)
  
  
  
  Blue, grey and red (full colour union flag)
  
• Subdued tan/FDE
  
• Subdued green/OD
  
• Subdued grey/black
  

Tall format patch

• ~75mm wide (total width including border)
  
  
  
  Blue, grey and red (full colour union flag)
  
• Subdued tan/FDE
  
• Subdued green/OD
  
• Subdued grey/black
  

Grey union flag edition will not make the cut, but the colours will be tweaked so the red stays fairly crimson (and hopefully isn't too obvious at distance).

There will be a final announcement on all this in a week or two once final quotes have been obtained and designs finalised on things like the border and the background colour. We're still working on a timescale of ~6 weeks before these are available to be bought.

Waiting on final colour samples. After that production will be just under a couple of weeks. So at best still 3-4 weeks away?

Unfortunately the chap they're being ordered from had some pretty serious person stuff that stopped them being able to provide a quote/start sampling as quick as I'd have liked.
