The spring is nested in the left side of the trigger unit, it shouldnt fall out unless you remove the whole thing.

One end sits on the slide lock holds it down, so i'm assuming if its slipped off then the catch is jumping up when firing.

Its cool, like i say mines currently in bits anyway, trying to get a proper blued finish to it.

Its not the worst, i'd take it over a 1911 with its 3 fingered spring of never being in the right damn place.

 
Found that spring, god its miniscule

All fixed and can now actually hop .3s.  Thanks for the help.  Learnt a lot about the platform.

Iirc the pdi i'm running is usp compact length, 75mm sounds about right

 
Had the chance to blast away in daylight with the new nub and I key yesterday - sending .3s a good 40m without the barrel extension (I can't find it).  Gas efficiency still shit in this weather but overall a hell of an improvement.

 
what bucking you running?

i'm running a green autobot and with a rubber shim under the hop arm it'll lift even .48's (and bulge the nozzle every other mag :P  )

effeciency wise i havent found much, you could look at aftermarket piston heads, i kind of heath-robinson'd a cowcow one with a chunk o ring and a lot of sanding and whilst it's definately helped the warm effeciency (as in ability to run more than 1 mag) i've yet to try it in the cold.

really need to get this refinishing done.....

 
Yeah, i found whilst the range and accuracy with the super heavies was fantastic, realistically i'm just not able to shoot that well with a pistol so was kinda pointless.

Run her on .32's these days, nice middle ground.
