Magpul PDR

Hi all

I'm looking into getting the PDR from Magpul as my first UKARA gun

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with them, I mainly go to a woodland site so will it have the range an accuracy for it?

If you mainly play woodland, why go for a rifle more suited to CQB. Go for an M15 or M16, AK74, etc. for the slightly improved accuracy at woodland rangers.

A mate got rid of his after a week. Didn't like the semi/auto trigger, and he had a few other issues aswell.

see this is Interesting People who didn't touch the Internal's and are using 11.1 Lipo's are saying it's Great. On the other hand people who Messed with the internal's and are using 7.4v Lipo's are saying it's Terrible...

I still feel it's because of first batch issue's what with all the Variation's but who the hell know's!

I've seen a fair few of them around the place over the last month or so. The APS UAR seems to be a contender.

People who have both seem rather content with them and they're relatively versatile. Size doesn't much matter, I've seen plenty of people running with gas MP9s in woodland, which are barely the size of a large pistol and they cope fine.

If you like the look of it, buy one. If you're worried it might be lame, get it from somewhere that'll give you a warranty and then if you have any issues you can return it.

I'd suggest holding one first though, I'm over 6 ft tall and I can't get on with the size of it, I feel like I'm scrunching myself up to an uncomfortable level to shoulder it correctly.

They really are tiny, like uncomfortably tiny. If you want a compact gun that wasn't designed for people with a 30" chest go for the TM MP7, outperforms a lot of AR sized guns and is sturdy as fuck.

Well thanks for all of the info guys the reason i was thinking of getting one was to have it as a backup when out in the field. Would you say that the MP7 would be good enough or any other compact style?
