Think of this thread as market research, lots of sellers want unicorn money for a rif, the comments might seem harsh but generally they tend to be accurate.
As a seller you're more than welcome to ask anything you want for your property, if they sell, then you were correct and stuff the neg comments, if it doesn't sell then consider dropping the price until it does find a new home.

Honestly though. I absolutely understand someone might disagree with pricing etc, but all that means if it doesn't sell, or I don't get a trade (which is what I was really after), that I lower the price. No harm, no foul.
I looked through the guy's activity and the vast majority was on this threat talking nonsense about other users. This forum is dedicated to a hobby that we all do...for fun...so let's not promote behaviour that's passive aggressive and not productive.
Maybe I'm just too chilled out to be upset that much by how someone else prices their items, again, I've seen users the drop the price of a RIF and thought "Ah, mustn't have had much interest" and it's a two second thought. If someone publicly quotes my post into a thread, I'm going to respond.
Anyone who has a real problem with me can Umarex H8R 1v1 at a location of their choosing (Not too late though I have to be home by 8pm)

Thank you for being civil, I'll take that on board. Just figured the configuration of the RIF and extras etc might be what someone was specifically after and the price reflects that. The negative stuff just irritates me, we're all adults here.

Nobody here is upset by how someone prices their items; there are a number of people on here who have a really good understanding of the value of an item and know when someone is fishing for a naive or uninformed buyer. The policing of this thread makes it a safer place for buyers and sellers than the vast majority of other selling sites.

There's definitely people who will point users in the direction of better deals etc, but the tone of some of the replies doesn't speak to that at all. It's sarc-y internet talk by people too immature to have a normal conversation with a stranger.
All that was said was "nearly £600!" not £575 with accessories that I clearly listed in the ad so someone can go and check price/availability/shipping costs for themselves, and including the PayPal fees not "Oh bank transfer only because I want as much money as possible" and then also including insured shipping via a stated courier. If someone doesn't want to pay that but wants the RIF, just offer a trade or make a lower offer if that's what you're inclined to do. No problem, no drama.
There's constructive feedback, which I've already received once just now by Bill, and was happy to accept, and then there's just being a bit of a dick. Can't believe I've spent part of my Tuesday evening having to debate this.
Feel like donating the RIF to a speedsofter now so they can paint it bright neon pink and stencil My Chemical Romance lyrics on the side.
For gods sake.

@SGSS , mate, to the best of my knowledge this is the only forum/selling page etc, that allows this kinda discussion, & many other subjects, & the fact that this place has outlived almost all the other forums is testimony that it works, & the members appreciate the free speech it affords them.
The trade off is that some comments can be a bit sarky, or appear slightly salty, but its generally just banter mostly, unless we get a bite

Its never personal though, & if anybody takes it too far, or gets nasty, we close it down, but thankfully that's very rare.
