M4 battery advice

Im definitely being more careful when charging. And all my batteries are kept in the lipo bag when not in use. 10.in one small bag might not be sensible tho.

My kids bought me the "kombat tactical" wallet for my birthday a few years ago, you know, got the chain and the carabina on it?
Only i put my vape batteries in the same pocket one day, (3.7v 20A 18650x2!!!) and managed to get a connection across one of them. Which turned the chain into a toaster heater....burned straight through my jeans and into my leg. That sucked a bit. (since then they've been in the little plastic tubes!!)
:D :D :D
At least you didn't have to pry a 50p out your thigh after 🤣

Also as important is disposing of old batteries. Yes it's easier to just chuck them in the bin but do you want to be responsible for something like this?
Since I've worked in the charity sector electronics disposal and general fire safety standards have been the biggest change to how we operate. You still get people fuming we can't take white goods that are obvious death traps and firebombs

Has anyone on here actually had a battery catch fire? Wondered if it was just hype. Not taking the risk tho
Charging since 2009. Not one fire. Only once but that's because I had a dead cell so to make it safe I drilled a nail into it. 1. So it didn't catch fire in a bin and 2 so I could see what it was like. If you use a balance charger and charge in the correct conditions then you should technically be fine as the charger will shut off before it gets to a fire. I have the sky T100 and it does that.
