Im after a starter gun and people keep recommending these to me but which ones better???

both are different designs.

ics has a modular gearbox, in which you can change the spring only by breakibg the barrel and doing a small procedure.

ca ar15s are of regular v2 gearbox designs.

externally wise, I prefer ca over ics. the same with the internals.

btw, if you are choosing between sportlines, the ics normally breaks the plastic lower receiver on the back pinion. be warned, as ive seen several of those having thqt issue.

Having seen and fired both i prefer the ICS. I imagine it also has parts more readily available if repair is needed. I'd consider the G&G GR16 as it was my first aeg and was nice to fire and also has blowback making it sound pretty different to most.
