Ics l85a2 dd rail doesn't fit adapter

Recently got an dd rail for ICS l85a2 I also have the adapter. On any video the dd rail just slides into the adaptor however I don't see how it's supposed to work at the adapter is bigger than the rail itself?

Is the rail and/or the adapter made by Madbull? If yes for both then that's just a really weird issue but if one is it and the other is not then I suppose that's the reason why they don't fit. Unfortuntely there are not set standards for sizeing that each manufacture adheres to.

That looks like a ‘proper’ DD rail rather than the Madbull/Airsoft version.  I’ve got the Madbull version with the adapter on my ICS L85 and it fits snugly but well 

edit:  The screw that holds the grip in place on the base of the grip on the Madbull version is vertical rather than the 45° that your grip is showing

Pretty sure thats a R/S rail, looks the same as the one I have for my WE , in which case the adapter wont fit .

There is a Madbull one for sale in the classifieds at the moment…
