Help needed identifying Sniper Rifle inners

Hey fellow airsofters,

I recently purchased a bone yard sniper rifle that was advertised as Well L96 which I assumed was an MB01. Now, despite being a bone yard, it shot .32s at 390 fps which puts it at 2.2 joules so I knew that it had been modified. The Hop up wasn’t working that well so wanted to check the hop up to see what the issue was.

On stripping it down, I can see it has an upgraded trigger box (full metal) however that’s where the issue starts. Having watched a number of MB01and MB08 strip down videos and the internals of my rifle do not match those in all the videos. As can be seen in the uploaded photos, mine has a plastic ‘loading chute’ which I cannot find on either of the MB01 or the MB08. Also when I went to remove the bolt, there is a fin attached that grabs the bb from the mag so I cannot remove the bolt as in the strip down videos.

Also the hop up is completely different, there is a wheel that is stepped and pushes a small rod up that obviously pushes into hop up. This was snapped which is the reason the hop up isn’t working.

Any how, my question is, is this Well MB01 or something else, secondly how do I remove the bolt?

I've not had one, so take this with a pinch of salt; but the L96s with a feeding ramp I know of were Marui ones.

I don't know if anyone ever cloned them however.

Well also make a clone of the Marui AWS - the Well MB4401. I would suspect that is what you have landed. The good news is that trigger is a pretty expensive upgrade. You can also source replacement bolts, loading fins, loading ramps etc for them.

Yes, looking at pictures of the MB4401, mine has the same outer barrel and flash hider as the Well so I think you have cracked it. It also has the folding stock so that is mystery solved. Still not a bad buy for £50 especially as it was sold as a Bone yard and the only thing is the hop up doesn't work but that is because the small rod that pushes up on the hop up had snapped.

That 'small rod' - if I'm understanding correctly, is known as a 'hop arm'. You might find them sold separately, but you probably would have to buy it as part of a new completely hop unit (which are not particularly expensive in any regard). I would suspect that most after market parts sold for the Tokyo Marui AWS would also fit your Well (but I wouldn't know for certain).

£50 seems a good deal - that trigger is a 90 degree one (and retails at over £100 alone) - which means that they would also have upgraded the piston inside your bolt.

Yes, the piston is upgraded. I have fully stripped it down now and this thing has definitely had some nice upgrades, not that I know but going on the prices as you said @The_Lord_Poncho a chunk of money has been spent.

I am not sure about the inner barrel as there are no markings on it so not sure if it is a tight bore or not. I will fix the broken small rod and run it as is for the moment.

The small rod is 3mm diameter and about 24mm long, not the hop arm itself. There is a stepped dial that sits in the bottom of the Stock, essentially under the outer barrel, the hop is then adjusted by twisting the dial from underneath the stock. There is then this 'small rod' and sits on the top of the stepped dial which then transfers the adjustment of the dial up directly upwards and pushes on the bottom pad of the hop up, which in turn pushes on the end of the hop arm. If that makes sense.

Looking at the TM Schematic, it is called Hop-Up Adjustment Axis. I think the best best is for me to just create my own out of some 3mm bar as its only job is to move up and down when the hop dial is moved.
