Gun picture thread

Then I better NEVER move.
I know this is a gun pic thread but I’d love to see what people have as display or storage ideas given the laughs we’ve just had about similar problems ?

This is something I need to really consider as my collection is growing

I’ve seen stack shelving in B&Q the metal type that you could possibly use but is there anything else better out there ?

grid wall... very sturdy & can either stand on floor or bracketed to the wall

Ikea grid wall in my walk in cupboard.

Dunno if Ikea do a grid wall but these guys do...

https://www.shopfittingwarehouse.co.uk/ssearch/?search_query=grid wall also on ebay

FYI this type of hook are stronger...

than this type...

Also, the 2" hooks are long enough for most rif's but the 4" hooks are better.
If you're going to layer your rif's like I do then 2", 4", 6", 8" hooks are ideal, I do have longer hooks too but try to limit their use.

Thanks both I’m going n to ikea the weekend as it happens so I’ll keep my eye out for the grid wall idea

Much appreciated
IKEA, B&Q etc will have storage systems like grid walls but @ButcherBill is totally spot on with shop fitting grid walls.

They cannot be beaten, and are a standard meaning that there is always a wide range of fully compatible fittings.

Use eBay and also keep an eye on local facebay etc for shops having refits selling theirs

We use them for setting up stalls at events, so ours are up & down all the time into various configurations
(Our first event of the year setting up at Exeter comicon tomorrow - so there will be head scratching and decisions on trying layouts)

The ideal is to fit the diamond shaped pieces
securely on the wall and hang the grids
For a less committed installation use the leg / feet, and attach each panel. Feet can waste space, but you can also stand & attach grids into corners around corners

Fittings are strong, but do vary. For extra strong and keep an eye out for the angled t shirt hangers.
Another useful one is the triangular shelf bracket (they come new with a rubber strip which will have been lost from second hand ones, without it they will scratch a RIF but that can be easily fixed with a bit of liquid rubber painted on or classic gaffer tape)

For helmets etc there are hat hangers

Skadis trimmed to loose the rounded corners and bolted to stop any sagging and then to a spare 4'x5' plywood. Leans against a wall.
Making another soon 20260116_223540.webp
