I think it’s the gap for the gas block, it just doesn’t look right to me. Looks like a cut and shut.

I’ve been sat here for ages trying to workout what the hell the shinny round thing on the fore sight could be ???

PS I really like the look , yes it would look a bit better with a big ass suppressor on it but that flash hider looks just as ‘business like’ too me ! ?
I really want the suppressor, but it cuts off what is as far as I’m concerned the greatest noise ever. That ring the flash hider makes with every shot ?

Been doing some work on the CXP-16. More on the internals than externals, since I last posted a pic.
- Stripped down the upper gearbox, cleaned and re-greased with Silocon Grease, looks like gun grease was used before.
- Added more PTTE tape to the cylider head.
- Upgraded the spring as it was still only getting around 315 FPS, now a nice 345.
- new longer tightbore barrel, 455mm ZCI barrel extended into the suppressor
- flathopped it using prometheus flat hop nub and Tippman Bucking with the usual flat hopping by grinding off the raised bits on the inside.
- took the BUIS off
- Fitted a short picatinny rail so I can have a vertical grip at the front

Someone dared me to play at Killhouse CQB with a revolver.
I accepted and therefore needed to go shopping:

Having to use power down shells and it's coming out at 240 - but I'm fairly sure that's down to the hop.
So will have a fiddle and see if I can get it increased.
I've only shot it a few times, but I can certainly say it's fun and has presence!
