ATM I have a range set up in my 50ft garden that I use for my pcp pellet gun, I’m considering using it for Airsoft target plinking - I’m just wondering what makes a good backstop for bbs? My range is constructed of timber with concrete slabs to kill pellets which obviously isn’t great for BBs,

Anyone else shoot in the garden target practice ect? Cheers

Maybe consider draping a couple of layers of old carpet or similar over your slabs, it'll kill any power in your bb's, probably to the point you might get to reuse them, not usually advised but if its only plinking you're doing ?.
Be aware of the laws regarding backyard plinking, & that nothing should be able to cross in to your neighbours "airspace".

Like Tackle said, you need a certain amount of cushioning to absorb that kinetic energy while preventing random deflections. A mesh sheet can do the job.

I use a Double Tap by South Coast Tactical for testing.
