The Firehawk requires a special battery according to the release video. Is this correct and if so what kind are they and how much would a battery and charger cost?

More marketing BS from G&G. It needs a stock tube LiPo, not exactly difficult to get hold of, a smart charger such as a Imax B6 or a Turnigy Accucell 6 is needed however. The cheap power brick ones are no good.

No G&G gun as far as I am aware comes with a battery or charger. And I've had a lot of them in the past 5 years.

Those midcap mags are what i've bought to go along with it, so I shall be able to give a fair assessment of those as well.

Well its not a high cycle, according to G&G those are being recalled as they have very low fps and chew themselves to bits rather promptly.

The high cycle is not too important for me to be honest as long as it's a good gun mate I think it's def gonna be a purchase for me

How much will one of those batteries and chargers cost?

Can you give me more info on the Lipo batteries? My mate has done a bit of battery research and says the Lipos are harder to maintain and can be quite dangerous.

Does the stock tube have to be a Lipo or are there Nimh versions?

It has to be a lipo, as you will see in the video when it finally uploads.

On a side note, didn't notice this until after i'd done the video:

I do believe this might have one of the toptech gearboxes in it

Top tech is g&g's range of higher end guns. The have the combat machines and lower end rifles with lower grade parts and internals and then there's the top techs with better internals. That's pretty much it in a nutshell

Ahh that's good then. So does it matter what Lipo battery you buy? I notice some selling for £25 and some selling for £11.

Why be concerned? Your friend obviously didn't do much research, as if they are so dangerous, why would every modern portable electrical device be using them?

I think it's more to do with the high levels of maintanence as well as the potential for explosions haha

It's a myth, charge them, store them, use them. Repeat. They're not as bad as a lot of people make them out to be or think they are, I use mine in the exact same manor as I did with my old Nimhs.

Just don't allow them to go completely flat, as that will kill it.

Yes I heard about not letting them run low. Do guns designed to be run on them I.e the Firehawk only have anything other than a ROF drop that let's you known it's at it's lowest point?
