G&G CM16 Raider 2.0

Hi guys.

Recently bought a CM16 Raider 2.0. So far I have the following upgrades:

Maxx Hop Up pro
Titan 2 Mosfet
Ronin Motor 31k
Maple leaf 60 hop up rubber
Lambda precision stainless steel inner barrel 275.5mm 6.03

Any suggestions for further upgrades or to remove parts?

Open to thoughts.

Chrono: 1.24J at 309 fps on .28s

Nope.

All sound good to me. I have a very similar setup with the same rif. I've used it for years. It's ultra reliable and my main skirmish rifle. I have a similar set up with a shorter barrel for CQB.

Play your heart out with it in the knowledge that you are a man of superior wisdom and taste. You could open the gear box and play with the gears, but the standard set up is fine with that hi-torque motor tbh.

Personally I’d ditch the maxx hop unit in favour of a ZCI polymer rotary unless the maxx somehow actually works

That depends on where they play. Apocalypse in Kent allows 1.27J.

So @Austeyr you think those maxx hop up’s are a waste of money? If so, I would happily return it and get a cheaper option haha.

Ive had to fit a specna arms selector plate in the g&g and it feels stiff when going into auto when switching to it. I tried using the selector plate from the g&g gun but the titan 2 doesn’t register semi, jumps straight to auto. Even with the sticker.

Back story. I took it to a tech. He swapped out my gear box and put all the new parts into the old specna gear box for me and transferred it over to my new gun. So only the shell of the gear box is not new. One thing that doesn’t fit correctly is the new selector plate because the titan doesn’t register semi.

Who fitted the the Titan? Did you switch the Specna Arms selector plate after the tech did their work?

If all of this was done by the tech, why not send it back?

Its because it was a blue selector plate. Didn’t require a sticker. The tech told me that it works fine, its just a bit stiff.

I bought a 2nd hand specna arms rock river but decided for a new gun to start fresh. Anyone interested in a gun to buy? Only thing missing from it as it broke is the tappet plate.

If you play at Airsoft Plantation, as I do, your gun is too hot for the site and for most other sites. If you are using 0.28g BBs, the FPS needs to be a maximum of 296 FPS (1.13J). You should also be aware that Airsoft Plantation is semi-only at ranges up to 30m.

I will warn the site owner to look out for a player with a G&G CM16 Raider 2.0.

Maxx Hop Units are generally a waste of money; the Specna or ZCI plastic ones are very good. It seems that the tech has messed up the work on your gun if it cannot shoot in semi; send it back to them and also tell them to get it down to below 1.13J with your chosen BB weight.

I will also be looking out for your gun at AP; make sure it is below 1.13J!
