So as a start to this I've recently for work purposes had to get an ESTA sorted as apparently certain DHS agents are being "funny" about NATO Travel Orders.

Sorted the ESTA through the US Government website "Departmemt of Homeland Security".

Did the whole actually playing the game thing.....

Since going through the offical US GOV website my email has been absolutely battered with very obviously US origin spam in the range of 40-50 emails a day.
Meanwhile the disposable email I used to sort out a pornhub account recieves maybe 2-3 spam emails a week (and the odd pm from Bonnie Blue).

Possibly not the greatest idea bitching about it on the internet prior to travelling, ESTA can still be revoked and they can potentially request 5 years of social media history prior to entry, as the 60 day consultation expired on 9th January.

Is this a thread for having a good moan? If so here goes

The previous owner of my house. Every time I've done some home improvements it's been made harder by his shit DIY attempts. This time I was retiling the bathroom floor and had to take out part of the frame around the bath. This should've taken 10 minutes tops but ended up taking over an hour thanks to half of the screws having rounded heads. Also quite a few screws were useless anyway as he managed to completely miss the joints.

I shouldn't be surprised, this is the same bellend who thought 1-2 inches of badly mixed concrete over about the same depth of sand was ok for a garden path

Having owned a house where the previous owner liked DIY but wasn't good at it my sympathies.....

High points for my previous house include building a stud wall on the carpet and fitting polystyrene ceiling tiles.... then building a false ceiling underneath them and blocking the fityed cupboards from opening.

Those polystyrene tiles are a bloody nightmare. Impossible to remove without ripping most of the ceiling down

My dad hates them with being on the fire service for 40 years. Fire hazard and the molten polystyrene drips down during a fire. The things people did in the 80s.
Christ, that makes me think of the Summerland disaster. A few years before I was born but I remember my old man telling me about it when he took me to the Isle of Man.
