dream cars

Too tactical, and the police may become interested once you accidentally fire the crazy amount of weapon systems on the Tumbler :D

I'll get a photo of mine up later this weekend when It's back from the garage.

1991 Mazda MX5 Jap import in red. sweet little car.

It's not a ferrari, nor a lambo, nor does it have dead smooth ride of a rolls royce. But it just doesn't matter. You can only go as fast as the car in front on most of the entertaining roads around here and with the sun out, roof down, music blaring, mate beside you it doesn't matter that you didn't quite clip the apex of that corner or that the dash is a little plasticy- it's the experience that makes the car.

Always thought I'd want a lambo/something daft, I've realised in the last 4 weeks of owning the MX5 that it isn't the car. It's the driver ;)

Having said that.

A big ol' Gran Torino would be nice, or a Lancia Stratos :D

Dream car?

1964 Aston Martin DB-5. Silver-birch paint. Black leather interior, brown leather covers on the controls. Probably the most beautiful car I've ever laid eyes on. Real work of art.

I'd accept that I would have to have some modifications - new tyres, brakes, suspension, airbag and seat-belts, simply to make it pleasant and safe to drive.

Actually, forget the modifications to make it drivable. It'd probably never leave the garage, due to me religiously polishing it

If I was to pick more recently designed car, probably again go with Aston. DBS, V12. Carbon black. Again, it's one of the few cars that I think looks amazing.

1969 Ford mustang, 1972 Gran Torino or a pimped up K5 Chevrolet Blazer.

Muscle cars for the win.
im totally with you, muscle cars are bad ass. i think they look the best and after that im all about the aston martins!! basically cos i wanna be james bond but also cos they are awesome

Due to the lack of car porn, i thought i'd add a picture of the miura.

It's the original supercar, and still to my eye atleast, one of the best looking cars ever built. I'm a bigger fan of older italian cars, however the new ones do still appeal strongly to me, particularly lamborghini. There's just something I love about their fascination of excessiveness and always making their cars over the top. That and their method for naming the cars they produce.

The Veneno for example looks like it wants to stab you in the face, and that's an idea I like very much.

Actually, I quite like the Lambo in the background of the Veneno.

Only because it reminds me of an F-22. Does it come in coal-grey and USAF markings?

The Veneno looks like a transformer in my view but if I was given one then that would be nice.

I would still love an original mini even though the other half has a bmw version its a good car but its not a mini.

For a retro car it would have to be an avenger if anyone remembers those, for an affordable car a nissan 350z and for something speedy probably a skyline.

On the other hand my bike restoration when its finished should be cool - if it ever gets finished .......

I know this is a bit of a necro post, but slightly better than making a new thread.

I've found my mid life crisis buy - the Ghurkha RPV

No idea, I've emailed the UK distributor asking for a price yesterday, whether they respond is any bodies guess.

My father actually has both a mk1/2 ferret and a command variant Saracen, and he loves them both to bits, so highly recommended, plus the parts are pretty universal between the 2.

slight update - the pricing seems to start at $450,000 from the factory door, so probably looking at the £500,000

Dream car would have to be a reconditioned DMC Delorean. Although if I could get my hands on a decommissioned road-legal Scimitar I'd be equally as happy.
