Do You Know Anybody With Smashed Teeth

In 3 or so years I've seen about 4 people get teeth shot out/chipped, all were in woodland scenarios as well.

I personally take the risk, my mate George who Ian posted a photo of, still doesn't wear lower face protection even after paying £400 to get his tooth sorted out.

It's down to the individual I guess. Whenever I get shot at, I put my head down, get low and move out of the line of fire. I've actually been shot directly in the tooth once, and had my lip completely popped before and managed to come away with my teeth undamaged, both times were with circa 300fps guns at under 15m, so I either have indestructible teeth, or got very lucky.

I'd advise people wear full face, but I personally just risk it.

One kid decided to take his face mask off mid game, just as I pulled the trigger and before I could shout out 'blind man'. Chipped his front tooth very lightly, very little damage but he was still banned for taking his mask off in game. Range was about 25 or 30 meter.I got off lightly though, the marshals understood that I,under adrenaline and other wonderful influences couldn't have fathomed the idiot would take his mask off.

'Nother time a guy got one of those Skull face masks. 15m engagement,he was bit of a mad man with a steroid induced TM p90 and loved running into the fray. Mask shattered, almost took out his eyes and chipped a tooth badly.

I'm planning of getting a mesh mask,a smaller one so I can fit my balaclava over it. Neoprene masks always make me want to chew on them and they're ugly and gum shields are useless since I'm the nutter that runs about screaming enemy positions when he's not sleeping in a bush.

Only problem I've had is finding a decent mask for my tiny wittle noggin. Gonna try ian's genius foam adding idea, coupled with bending the sit out of it.

Hey,I could weave folaige into it! tooth protection and extra camo all in one :P

Yeah, use lettuce & roquet, UTJ, then you can nibble on it before you get your head down in that bush!

Yup that lively looking blonde chap in Ian's photo is me, got to say I do occasionally wear a scarf after getting my tooth shot out, in really sticky situations I just put my arm over my mouth.

Tbh I think it's improved my game a lot because im so aware of getting shot in the face now that it doesn't happen as much.

I wear a gum shield when playing found its the best thing as i hate those mesh face masks because they never stay on properly or make it hard to shoulder your weapon , however it can make it some what difficult to breath if your really running around a lot though.

One of the guys at a local site had a tooth shot out this weekend, woodland game at woodland ranges.

For me its easily worth the discomfort of the mesh mask to ensure I don't need to pay the dentists bills plus if I turned up to school with bruises on my face and smashed out teeth the kids I teach would have a field day taking the mick.
