Deciding a sniper...

Ok so i got my eye on a sniper, L96 model, 440fps, its two-tone, has a 3-9x40 scope included for £150. no point me typing that because i will put a link in anyway, but should i not get it just because its double eagle? people say its a really bad make? also, if you have a sniper or know a good place to get one, could you suggest one to me please!? i want one that will last, and has a scope (even if its terrible) because i cant spend the extra money. it doesnt really matter what brand you start with, although the cheaper ones will need upgrades before you even take them out. my k98 started life as a 80 quid vsr10 knock off by a brand i've never heard of. 250 quid of upgrades and dropped into the body and its fantastic. so if your taking sniping seriously wait untill you've got your licence (its a month or two of patience and you'll be glad you did) then buy a cheap rifle, or have a look for second and ones on here you can sometimes get pre-upgraded ones

Cheers mate, decided i will get a sniper after i get my moneys worth of my aeg smg then use it as a secondary for a sniper (picked one already, 180 quid wont need loads of upgrading from the spec's ) because i should have my license eventually

I use the rule of if your spending under £400 on a sniper rifle its not worth it.

If your looking for a good l96 then i recommend the maruzen one, buy that and with a few little upgrades it will be a beast!

Id wait until 1> you have the cash to get a decent Rifle 2> for your licence, in Lime green and black you wouldnt be a very discreet sniper :blink:

Ive been looking at getting a L96 myself and have been reading, the Tokyo Marui version of the L96, is a decent starter point with the right upgrades, but I don't know any 1 with 1..

glad your going down the get an AEG route first though, you'll have alot of fun with that whilst adding bits to your rifle. take it out new and without upgrades and about half the aeg's will outrange you

Cheers for everything, thought i would be ok using a £130 no upgrades at first (when i decided i wanna do airsoft) but if its gonna be that expensive, wondering if i should bother :L

If your budget is £200 get a sniper you can upgrade, like WELL, a VSR etc, if you want an L96 the WELL MBO1 L96 is great out the box & once you have enough cash buy upgrade parts & improve it. My mate has the WELL MB03, everyone told him it was a waste of money, 3 weeks later he upgraded it & its pumping out 480fps with 65 - 70m range

i have one and the range and accuracy out of the box is quite good,need to upgrade mine soon,they are easy to takedown aswell
