co-witness

hi all

i am running a king arms m4a1 , swapped the for grip for a ris and bolted on a eotec red dot, the usual prob happens where you try not to co-witness with the front sight but you automattically do (well i do) lol.

taking off the front sight is easy enough but u loose the hand guard ring in doing so ,

so a solution is what i an after

can u get a ris that does not require the hand guard ring ? can u post a link to a product please

do i just saw of the front sight just above the gas tube to give a clear view

or mount the red dot on a raiser on the reciever

or can u get a flip down front sight that can hold the hand guard ring and take the gas tube as the original does

This is a bit costly and I personally dislike the design, but it's a guaranteed fit since it's made by King Arms.

You can always keep looking for alternatives as there's bound to be plenty, this popped up with a quick google search for M4 folding sights.

Depends how much you want to spend.

Pretty much any free float RIS will do away with the need for the handguard cap, but you'll be spending a lot of cash on one!

You could saw it off, but it'll look rubbish.

Riser would work too.

Or a flip up front site will replace triangle one. If you don't want the one Ed linked to, then you can get Chinese replicas for half the price if you look on Ebairsoft.
