Battery Dying?

This battery came with a gun I brought, looks well used

11.1v 1450mah lipo

Works fine in the gun but the discoloration on the end concerns me, is it on the way out?

If your worried about it i'd replace it. They aren't very expensive to take the risk of it exploding/catching light

Just looks like a pool of adhesive to me.

Was it always like that or did it change since you had it?

Maybe hit it with a hammer to be sure ?

been like that since I had it, i've heard of lipos puffing up but not discoloration

Definitely replace it. This cable is to balance charge one of the cells. Being cut means you can't charge each cell equally
