Battery charger recommendations

Thanks for the advice. I went for 2 in the end, the T100 and the isdt 608pd.
The latter being a more portable for game days and the t100 a better one to discharge and ensure longevity of my batteries.
Cheers
I bought an ISDT 608PD, just to try it out. It doesn't function on the input from a high capacity and high output power bank, but is ok on mains power. How is yours working?

Hi Colin,
To be honest, I haven't figured out how to run it off a power pack or the mains.... My son seems to know how it works. But only on the usb c from the mains.
When I plug a PowerPack in. (Anker 10,000) It just turns the power pack off.
The t100 seems easier to use, but again son knows how it works better than me.
I'll keep playing with it, and see what happens. I'll keep you informed.
Rick.

My set up.

I have now established that it only runs off a DC input (either XT60 or USB-C), so no direct mains, which is not really a problem. What is slightly more concerning is that it does not seem to charge accurately, although I guess it is adequate for an emergency charge during a game day; however, I would rather just take a spare battery than the unit and a power pack. I think that mine might end up in the back of the cupboard or in the bin.

The manual is here: https://www.isdt.co/down/pdf/608PD.pdf

Seemed appropriate to update this post.
I couldn't find the necessary mini tamiya adapter I normally use to use the two chargers I brought l, so I used a crappy one that came with a replica.
Ran it off a low powered usb adapter and put it in a lipo bag to charge as always
Checked it after an hour and found the battery was really hot and has definitely swollen. I will be disposing of it safely and have put it in the garden for now just in case. It was a pretty new battery, maybe charged half a dozen times.
Lesson learned.

Eek! I wouldn't charge anything with that setup. It is a pity about the battery.

It is a grand evening for camping; I might put a basher up in the garden and sleep out there tonight.
I love camping, but get less chances due to Airsoft.
Live on the edge of the Snowdonia national park, and have a few cracking spots to go to.
I prefer a tent as I hate sharing my sleeping bag with snails and spiders... 😆

Shame about the battery but tbh mcgivering a charger set up is risky

I love a bit of wild camping too. My preference is a hammock and tarp for shade as I don't get the oven like effect of a tent but stay off the ground away from the creepy crawlies
