Hi!

After recently disassembling my m4 i cant get my front receiver pin  to go all the way through. I tried to hammer it in with a rubber hammer but that didn't work either. Is there anyone who got some tip or trick to get it to work?

Are you sure it’s in the right way round? It only goes in from one side. 

May seem a little harsh. But I wouldn’t be suggesting it if I hadn’t made the same mistake myself.

Have you checked that you can actually see the upper and lower lining up properly? The main receiver pins shouldn't be hard to get in at all!

it doesn't line up perfectly, thinking about drilling the last way.

managed to widen the exit hole, it slides in relatively smoothly now

I was referring to the fact that you have drilled the hole bigger, which over time may allow flex in use, which in turn could cause the hole size to increase....not a good outcome.

Thing is, they're supposed to be a close fit. If they don't line up without modification it means that something else is out of line elsewhere. You've addressed the symptom but not the cause so you may find you have more issues down the road.
