Anybody know where the best place is to buy an L1A1/FN FAL AEG?

Seen a few but they seem to be out of stock most places, also one thing I have noticed is there doesn't seem to be too many different ones on the market.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. ?

patrolbase has a few versions but out of stock

found this one but it's pricey

The Ares one if pretty terrible in terms of trigger and weak gearbox design. As in, cracks in the front of the gearbox within a few skirmishes type weak. The King Arms one is considered to be infinitely better.

Not alot of King Arms one out there as they were fairly limited run.

If your Italian is any good then there is one available here.

could also look for a SA-58 as I believe they are a copy of the FAL

the owner's a bit of a retard, knows fuck all about mechanical stuff, but his shop is literally filled with rare guns.

Bought a couple of things from him, but went directly to the shop as it's only 40 minutes away from me.

Ares. That's all there's to know :P
In fairness that seems to be the cheapest one around as well (not that I want to specifically cheap out but if a deals there I’m taking it).

I wasn’t aware that it’s rare in airsoft form, trust me to be like “oh that L1A1 would be nice to have” ?

Oh yeah, if it's cheaper and in stock definitely go for it.

Just let me know if something goes wrong :P takes only 40 minutes to drive there with a can of fuel and a lighter ;)

The Ares is a good shooter, if you can find one go for it.

Just because one guy doesn't like em doesn't mean they're crap ?

It's more like quirky proprietary parts, to be fair. If they break and the gun isn't as popular (low amount of spares available) then you're kinda screwed if one of those parts shits the bed.

There was supposed to be a re-release by king Arms of their FAL series. Was meant to be the latter half of this year,

that was pre Covid  though...

It's a matter of being economically worth.

If a gun is uncommon (there's not enough demand to justify continuous production) it's unlikely that it'll ever be produced again.

I can't imagine the G3 being more popular.

That's true, the G3 is well served. CA and LCT have plenty of variants.  See that LCT is bringing out a line of HK33s.

Perhaps the VFC FAL will encourage some AEG based models.

Fire Support have one or two.

I never had any bother with my Ares one, shot nicely enough.  The KA one is due a rerelease and VFC are doing a GBBR FAL soon.

I may hold fire and see what’s going on with the rerelease, then make a decision.

Cheers for the links guys though, turns out there’s more on the market than I first thought ?
