I've never quite seen the appeal of MMORPGs but I cant judge them if I have never tried one.

I love them personally...I have spent FAR to many years of my life in WOW, and made many a good friend in the game.

My impression of it so far is Meh. The control layout feels really odd coming from normal first person RPGs like skyrim, im not really liking the hot bars either. Have you had any experience with the Elder Scrolls Online. I've seen some really mixed reviews on it.

dayz standalone is so weak its not worth it yet, your better of getting Arma 2 and installing all the mods for dayz as i think its more fun and more to do then just run around and collect stuff and then die and repeat.
