Adding Photos when private messaging

Constantly can’t add photos to messages now, get file to big, even cropping still says file is to large. Anyone else get the same.

But I did have the same problem a while back, seemed to fix itself though ????

How many pictures have you got uploaded to your account?  Perhaps you have hit the limit of your storage - I had to have a clear out the other week.  I also make sure I run any pics through a compressor first so they are no bigger than they have to be.

Cleared all my old messages, so not a storage issue. Not sure what running a picture through a compressor means to be honest, don’t know if my iPad can even do that.

Not sure about Crapples and IOS - but I have an app on my phone, and a different one on my PC that compresses photos from several megabytes to a couple of hundred kilobytes.  Maybe have a look at this app:  https://apps.apple.com/us/app/compress-photos-pictures/id1449007043

The forum only gives you 100mB of storage - and deleting messages won't delete the photos/attachments.

Click on your user name on the top right of the page, then select "My Attachments".  You get a page with your storage quota and a list of the pictures and files you have uploaded.  I am 41% into my quota.

You've been around a while, so I would think you have a rather full storage.

That will tell you your remaining allowance and show you what attachments you have stored in the forum

Either delete those no longer required, or  go to the relevant posts and replace with a scaled down copy
