Anyone with a fractured TM FN45 slide

No issues so far. I did increase the length of the slide by 1 mm to reduce the impact on the front end which seems to have helped.

Anyone with a fractured TM FN45 slide

I printed the slide horizontally to give the most strength with the supports done as organic which leaves the least mess. I'm not skilled enough yet for CNCing something this complex but maybe in the future, who knows.

it's heavy, but if a nuclear bomb goes off, I'm climbing inside it as it's rock solid. It comes with a bunch of organisers as well and they are pretty handy. It's also worth mentioning that everything seems very well made.

Anyone with a fractured TM FN45 slide

fusion is better for organic shapes whereas Sketchup is more architecture focused but can do complex curves with a bit of f;ing around. I started out years ago using sketchup hence the preference to use it sometimes but fusion is good, just takes blooming ages to master and I'm no master at...

Anyone with a fractured TM FN45 slide

Normally I'd agree but in the FNX it's a weird one. They knew that the slide would be stressed enough on 134 that they added a metal plate to counter the effect and I'd imagine that even on 134 some will break over prolonged use, which is unusual for TM. I've went old skool and I'm using...

Anyone with a fractured TM FN45 slide

It's a design flaw if you don't use buster/134 gas as it was designed for. If you use other green gases and higher temperatures the front end can snap off. TM knew it might be an issue and there is a metal plate inside the top side, near the front sight, to counter it but not for higher PSI...

always fancied a NGRS 416D but with a 416C front end so I bought some bits off here and made one. Stock is the EPM 2 which is about an inch shorter than the EPM 1 stock.

The FRAG grenade, first use impressions (poor)

Not knocking the review mate however like a lot of reviews it's from a sample base of one. You see it a lot with youtube airsoft reviewers and they love or hate a product based on 1 sample. Not really a fair assessment and places like this forum are a better place to gauge a product as there is...

    Who was your first?

first airsoft gun was around the late 80's and was a model kit of some sort of S&W pistol that fired 6mm BB's once built. Basically a put it together springer. I also had a bunch of LS model guns around the same time Colt commando, AK74, etc that worked like the real thing once built and even...

The FRAG grenade, first use impressions (poor)

Strange. I run 4 Frag's and have been through over 100 209 primers without any misfires. All used at a CQB site and from an underarm lob, so only the weight of the frag to set them off. I also have a couple of Quake's that I like but they are heavy, I sold my Dynatex BFG's as they worked well...

    Tokyo Marui Evolt AEG System

sort of. The IR Ohm reading can be converter to a temperature. If the Lipo is doing the temperature checking then it might be a straight digital 1 or 0 to tell the ECU that everything is good or bad. That makes a bit of sense as the 1 or 0 will go to a pin in an IC that keeps the AEG working...

    Tokyo Marui Evolt AEG System

I have a sneaking suspicion that the middle wire on the Evolt will be for the largely unspoken about Internal resistance of a Lipo battery. My guess is the MP5 has it but doesn't lock the AEG if it isn't there but on the Evolt it will be a "safety feature" and stop the gun from working if it...

    Tokyo Marui Evolt AEG System

I think you would a little MR30 to MR30 extension cable to be able to extend the gearbox wiring into the PTS stock but they are easily knocked up. no you are correct but the combination of new mosfet and recoil weight is hopefully going to be a better shooting experience that just the sewing...
