Very suprised a film called 'All the kings men' hasn't been mentioned. Its a true story about Gallipoli.
Cross of Iron (must buy this on DVD sometime - it was on me old TiVo but hasn't been on since to record) the expression on the kid's face at the end / so many feelings rolled together / you have to laugh or u'll cry
