"They're reliable". the pile of warped upper receivers in the armourer's ISO in Lashkar Ghar would suggest otherwise. It's accurate as it has a very long inner barrel but at the cost of needing to take your finger off the trigger to take it out of safe which is the time you probably don't want to be taking your finger off the trigger, You have to fiddle around in your armpit to switch from semi to full and again fiddle in your armpit to change magazines. No firearm should have you fiddling around in your armpit. The trigger is rubbish, having to reach over the top of you weapon to cock it, especially with optics on it, is rubbish, having to tap the forward assist during normal weapon handling drills is rubbish and don't get me started on the LSW.
At best it's an OK weapon but bought as it was cheap which with hindsight and 2 costly rebuilds later probably wasn't the best choice. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake with project Greyburn.
I really fell out of love with it when I had it slung on my back like a rucksack and whilst trying to take the camo net off the top of the FFR land Rover for the 17th time in 4 days without sleep, I got tangled up because of the cocking handle, had a hissy fit, got even more tangled and had to be cut out the camo net. 1/10 would not recommend.
